Pallas was an ancient Lokrian city-state which fought against its neighbor Lakedaimon and bled Lokris dry after they had defeated the Sassanids.[1]
Literary comment[]
Pallas is based on the ancient Greek city-state of Sparta. Pallas is not the name of any Greek place, but is the name of several mythological characters, both male and female, including a persona of the goddess Athena.
