Orkistos or Orcistus was a city and bishopric in the Roman province of Galatia Secunda. After several redistrictings, it became part of the Anatolic Theme within the Byzantine Empire. It disappears from the records in the 13th century, and its ruins are situated south of the modern town of Ortaköy-Aksaray, Turkey.

Orkistos in "Farmers' Law"[]

Orkistos was a town near Abrostola. Basil was caught selling milk from Theodore's sheep there two years before Theodore was murdered.[1]
