Old Man Lee lived in the same village as Kim. In her opinion, his wife was a shrew, and his pet dog was the meanest dog she knew. While she was out foraging one day, she saw the dog off leash heading for home in a hurry. She realized the dog was carrying a rabbit. Kim envied Old Man Lee and his shrew wife; she couldn't remember the last time she'd eaten meat.[1]
