Nuevo León

Nuevo León is a state located in northeastern Mexico. It borders the states of Tamaulipas to the north and east, Zacatecas and San Luis Potosí to the south, and Coahuila to the west. To the north, Nuevo León accounts for a 15 km (9 mi) stretch of the United States-Mexico border adjacent to the U.S. state of Texas.

Nuevo León in The Two Georges

Nuevo León was a province of Nueva España. It bordered Mexico to the south, Nueva Vizcaya to the west, the North American Union province of Cranmer to the north, and the Gulf of Mexico to the east.

Literary comment

This Nuevo León incorporates most of the OTL borders of the state, plus most or all of Tamaulipas and much of Coahuila. Note that this Nuevo León has a substantial coastline, whereas the OTL version is landlocked.

Nuevo León in Worldwar

Nuevo León was the home of a Race airbase located near Monterrey. After the arrival of the Colonization Fleet in Mexico, Nuevo León saw the establishment of a Race town along the San Juan River.

Rance Auerbach and Penny Summers headed to the airbase to sell ginger to a Lizard named Kahanass. This was actually a trap, and all three were arrested by the Race.
