No. 121 Squadron was a Royal Air Force (RAF) aircraft squadron that during World War II was one of the three Eagle Squadrons manned by American volunteers. There is a Royal Air Force Air Cadets squadron, based in Nuneaton, which shares its number.
No. 121 Squadron RAF in Or Even Eagle Flew[]
In July 1941, several members of the 71 Squadron were transferred to 121 Squadron. Among them was the man Pilot Officer Amelia Earhart believed attempted to sexually assault her. When 71 Squadron through a going-away part, Earhart made a point of staying sober.[1]
