Nidaros was the ancient capital of the Raumsdalian Empire. Two thousand years ago, it abutted the Glacier, but in the intervening time, the Glacier receded.

Home of Emperor Sigvat II, the streets of Nidaros were twisted, making navigation difficult, but also stopping the cold wind from the Glacier from making the city too cold. Even with the streets, none of the doors in Nidaros face north and north-facing walls tend not to have any windows in them.
