Nicola Sturgeon in "The Breaking of Nations"[]

Nicola Sturgeon became Prime Minister of Scotland after the country left the United Kingdom in response to Brexit. Scotland retained membership in the European Union, and the rump U.K. still grappled with Brexit.

In 2031, Sturgeon was the second world leader to recognize Pacifica, much to the relief of acting president Nicole Yoshida; Xi Jinping of China had been the first. Sturgeon directly contacted Yoshida to inform her.[1]
