Naomi Goldfarb, née Kaplan (b. 1923) was born to a Jewish family in the Weimar Republic. Her family managed to get out of Germany in 1937, before the worst of the Nazi atrocities began, settling in England.
In 1944, Naomi was working as a barmaid at the White Horse Inn in Dover, which had a large number of RAF customers as a result of World War II and the Race Invasion of Tosev 3. While many of the servicemen tried to pinch her backside, radar operator David Goldfarb was decent and kind to her.
