Miriam Anielewicz (b. late 1940s) was the oldest child of Mordechai and Bertha Anielewicz. David and Heinrich were her younger brothers. In the early 1960s, the family lived in Lodz where Miriam was learning to play the violin.
Miriam's youngest brother Heinrich had a fondness for animals, adopting a beffel which had arrived with the Race's Colonization Fleet, and naming it Pancer (Tank). This childish decision saved the family when Pancer warned them of a fire, which had been set in their apartment by the NKVD assassin David Nussboym.
