Metropolis was the capital city of a kingdom located on a tundra. King Wolcott resided in the palace. It was surrounded by an eerie canal inhabited by ghosts. It had a subway system called "the Metro", and the trains were pulled by trolls. Streets of note included Avenue J, Lois Lane and Avenue Q.
Three adventurers, Tundra Dawn, Cleveland, and Tremendous Ptarmigan, were on a quest for a mammyth. Their quest brought them to Metropolis and King Wolcott's throne room. After idle chit-chat, Wolcott, wanting to be rid of them, asked how he could help. After some dickering, Wolcott agreed to provide them with food, horses, and even some cash. The group left.
