Messy is a commune in the Seine-et-Marne department in the Île-de-France region in north-central France. It is about 30km east of Paris.
Messy in The War That Came Early[]
Sgt. Alistair Walsh ended up in Messy in 1939 after the French and British counter-attack prevented the Wehrmacht from capturing Paris. There the lines stabilised and both sides dug in much as they had in the previous war.[1]
