Date of Birth: | c. 2080 |
Occupation: | Student |
Affiliations: | Hoxha Polytechnic, Young Socialists' League |
Maria Tenace was a student at Hoxha Polytechnic and a member of the Young Socialists' League. She was an ardent adherent of Marxist-Leninist-Stalinism.
Maria was assigned to the committee that investigated The Gladiator. Unlike fellow-committee member Annarita Crosetti, Maria took it as an article of faith that The Gladiator was not ideologically sound, and argued for the committee to denounce it as counterrevolutionary. Annarita stood against her. The third member of their committee, Ludovico Pagliarone, sided with Annarita (although without much enthusiasm). Annarita wrote a report that the shop was harmless which Ludovico co-signed. Maria submitted a minority report denouncing it.[1]
When the Security Police shut The Gladiator down, Maria was able to hold Annarita's "failure" against her.[2] However, when both were seniors the next year, Annarita, with popular support from the rest of the League of two to one, defeated Maria in a bid for the office of League President.[3]
