Lucullus Wood was the son of Apicius Wood. He succeeded his father as proprietor of The Kentucky Smoke House in Covington, Kentucky as well as leader of the black socialists' resistance movement against the Confederate during the Second Great War. He was badly unnerved by the Population Reduction.
When Cincinnatus Driver passed through Covington after the Second Great War, he was informed by Luther Bliss that Lucullus Wood had long ago vanished, most likely killed in the Population Reduction.
