Louis XV of France (15 February 1710 - 10 May 1774) ruled as King of France and Navarre from 1715 until his death of smallpox. His reign of 58 years and 251 days was France's second-longest, outclassed only by his great-grandfather and immediate predecessor Louis XIV.

A would-be reformer, Louis led his country into the Seven Years' War, which saw France get defeated in Europe and abroad, with most of its colonies in North America taken by Great Britain and Spain. Most of his attempts at reform came to naught, leading to a reckoning during the reign of his grandson and successor Louis XVI.

Louis XV in Atlantis[]

During the reign of Louis XV, France lost a global war and most of its colonial possessions, including those in Atlantis.[1]
