London, Ontario, Canada- The Forest City from above-1-

London is a city in Southwestern Ontario, Canada. London is the seat of Middlesex County, at the forks of the non-navigable Thames River, approximately halfway between Toronto and Windsor. The City of London is a single-tier municipality, politically separate from Middlesex County though it remains the official county seat.

London in Southern Victory[]

In the early years of the Great War, Anglo-Canadian forces concentrated their defenses in London against the United States' initial assault from Michigan in 1914-15.[1] When the Americans finally managed to break-out of the Niagara Peninsula and threaten London from the east as well as the west, the Canadians were finally forced to evacuate the city. However, the advance of the combined American forces on Toronto was then stalled by a new defensive line centered on Berlin.[2]
