Latin America consists of all the countries speaking Italic or Romantic Languages, mainly Spanish, Portuguese, and French, south of the United States.
Latin America in In the Presence of Mine Enemies[]
Latin America was ruled by fascist regimes modelled after Germany and its European allies after they won the Second World War. Berlin was popular among Latin American tourists.
Latin America in Southern Victory[]
Latin America, like the rest of the world, was divided into various alliance systems. Some countries, like Mexico and Argentina, sided with the Entente during both the Great War and the Second Great War. Others, like Paraguay and Chile were staunchly aligned with the Central Powers. The Empire of Brazil proved critical to the Central Powers victory in the Great War.
In the period between the wars, a number of small wars and conflicts racked the region. Some of these conflicts became proxy wars among great powers. For example, long time allies Germany and the United States saw a frosting of their relations in the 1920 when each intervened in a border dispute between Colombia and Venezuela. The Freedom Party of the Confederate States often sent mercenaries to participate in the various wars Latin America experienced after the Great War had concluded. These mercenaries gained valuable combat experience, which they used in the Second Great War.
Latin America in Worldwar[]
Latin America fell quickly to the Race's Conquest Fleet in 1942. With the exception of Cuba, Haiti, and the Dominican Republic, the entirety of Latin America remained under Race control and were recognized as Race colonies after the Peace of Cairo in 1944.
