Laurence van Cott "Larry" Niven (born April 30, 1938) is an Americanscience fiction author, writing primarily hard science fiction, using big science concepts and theoretical physics, but also often including elements of detective fiction and adventure stories.
Michelle Gordian plagiarized several of Larry Niven's works for her "Mark Gordian" persona in the 1950s, including "Neutron Star",[1] "At the Core", "The Handicapped",[2] and "The Hole Man".[3] Gordian's publication of "Neutron Star" caused excitement among astronomers at the very concept.[4]
