Lake Michigan is one of the five Great Lakes of North America, and the only one located entirely within the United States. The third-largest of the Great Lakes, it is bounded, from west to east, by Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, and Michigan.
Lake Michigan was a lake in the North American Union, bounded by the provinces of New Guernsey, Illinois, Tippecanoe, and Wilberforce. Astoria, Illinois, was an important port on the lake.
Lake Michigan in Worldwar[]
The U.S. Army retreated to within a few miles of Lake Michigan in 1944, allowing the Race to overrun Chicago, which was then destroyed by an American atomic bomb (nicknamed "the Fat Lady").
