Lake Erie is the eleventh largest lake on Earth and, of the five Great Lakes of North America, it is the fourth largest by surface area, the southernmost, shallowest, and smallest by volume. It is bounded on the north by the Canadian province of Ontario, on the south by the U.S. states of Ohio, Pennsylvania, and New York, and on the west by the state of Michigan.

Lake Erie in Southern Victory[]

During Operation Blackbeard in 1941, the Confederate States Army was able drive through U.S. forces, until they reached the shores of Lake Erie at Sandusky, Ohio. In 1942, during Operation Coalscuttle, the Confederates drove to the east along the south shore of Erie towards Pittsburgh.

Lake Erie in The Two Georges[]

Lake Erie was known as Tecarneodi to the Iroquois people of The Six Nations. The Six Nations was one of three Provinces of the NAU with coasts on the lake, the others being New York and Canada.
