The flag of the Kuomintang, and of the pre-World War II Chinese Republic which the Party ruled

The Kuomintang (KMT) controlled much of China from 1928 until its retreat to Taiwan in 1949 after defeat by the Chinese Communist Party. The two parties were officially allies against Japan during the Second Sino-Japanese War and World War II, 1937-1945, although in practice, the two did little to aid each other.

Kuomintang in Worldwar[]

The Kuomintang allied with the Chinese Communist Party in order to fight first Japan and then the Race. The alliance officially held throughout the initial invasion of Earth in 1942, and continued on after China was conquered in its entirety by the Race. However, the KMT and the Communists viewed each other with hostility and suspicion, and often undercut one another when the opportunity arose.
