Kiiniigwa was a Tawantiinsuujuan city near the border with the dar al-Harb. In 1941, dar al-Harb raiders attacked the town, burned the sun-temple, kidnapped several priestesses, and fled back toward the border. While the Tawantiinsuujuan ambassador Tjiimpuu demanded restitution, the dar al-Harb ambassador Da'ud ibn Tariq insisted that Tawantiinsuuju had no right to the land, which the dar al-Harb was taking back by the law of jihad.[1]
