Kaneyoshi "Kinsuke" Muto (武藤 金義 Mutō Kaneyoshi, June 1916 – 24 July 1945) was an Imperial Japanese Navy aviator and flying ace, known for his great skill in fighter aircraft. Fellow ace Saburō Sakai called him "a genius in the air."
Kinsuke Muto flew alongside Mitsuo Fuchida in the Spring 1942 raid on San Francisco.[1]
When Fuchida sang the praises of Muto's bravery in the raid, Saburo Shindo, who had not met Muto, thought Muto an optimistic fool.[2]
