John Solters was the father of Jeremy and Amanda Solters and the husband of Melissa Solters. He worked for Crosstime Traffic and traveled with them to Agrippan Rome, an alternate where the Roman Empire never fell. They operated out of Polisso, Dacia Province, where John used the name Ioanno Soltero Acuto.
Things went awry when Mrs. Solters became ill with appendicitis and he went along with her to the home timeline, leaving the children by themselves. Once they were gone, the children lost their connection to the home timeline and were stranded in Agrippan Rome.
