Jim aka "Junior" was a soldier in Sgt. Santos Amoros' platoon, who had been called out to meet the invading Roxolani in 2039. He was a black man, and fond of gambling.[1] When the Indomitable landed, Junior said "Will you look at the size of that mother!"[2]
