James Campbell Hagerty (May 9, 1909 - April 11, 1981) served as the only White House Press Secretary from 1953 to 1961 during the administration of Dwight Eisenhower.
James Hagerty in Worldwar[]
James Hagerty was the Gray House Press Secretary for the Earl Warren Administration. In 1965, shortly after the Race destroyed Indianapolis with an explosive-metal bomb, Hagerty discovered that President Warren had committed suicide. He read aloud for the media Warren's suicide note, which admitted responsibility for the attack on the Race's Colonization Fleet in 1962. After reading it, Hagerty burst into tears, and fled the cameras.[1]
