Isaac Komnenos (c. 1050 to 1102/1104) was a Byzantine general. He was the older brother of emperor Alexios I Komnenos, and remained one of Alexios's enthusiastic supporters. Alexios created the title of sebastokrator to reward Isaac for his loyalty, an office that was nearly equal to that of the emperor.

Isaac Komnenos in "Two Thieves"[]

Like everyone who lived and died on planet Earth, Isaac Komnenos was resurrected after his death with a physical age of 25 on Riverworld. He became right-hand man of his brother, Alexios, the Basileus of New Constantinople.[1] Isaac held the office of kaisar.

Isaac supported his brother's plan to forge an alliance between New Constantinople and Shytown against their mutual enemy, Bornu. He participated in the final battle against Bornu, and was among those who helped slay Bornu's ruler, Musa ar-Rahman.[2] He also willingly left his position of kaisar to allow Shytown's mayor, Richard J. Daley, to take the office. However, Alexios immediately appointed Isaac to the position of Sebastokrator, the office Isaac held on Earth, leaving the office of kaisar worthless.[3]
