The Ilszungs (in Gyongyosian) or Elsungs (in Unkerlanter) were a mountain range on the boundary between the kingdoms of Unkerlant and Gyongyos. Gyongyos gained more territory in the range when Unkerlant was weakened during the Twinkings War. A generation later, during the Derlavaian War, the range saw fierce fighting, though the Gyongyosian invasion never got very far into Unkerlanter territory.
Mountain apes were indigenous to the range, and were reported to make meals of soldiers from both sides during the conflict.
