Idaho is a state in Pacific Northwest region of the United States. It borders Oregon and Washington to the west, Montana to the northeast, Wyoming to the east, Nevada and Utah to the south, and the Canadian province of British Columbia to the north. Idaho's state capital and largest city is Boise. It was admitted to the Union as the 43rd state on July 3, 1890.
When Pacifica broke away from the United States in 2031, Idaho became a border state in more ways than one. As it was one of the most Trumpist states in the Union, it did not adopt the "neutrality" policy Nevada had implemented, instead firmly siding with PresidentMike Pence.[1]
Idaho was badly hit when the Yellowstone Supervolcano erupted. Even though it was generally up-wind of the eruption, falling ash covered the state. No one was sure how many feet, but the U.S. wouldn't have the fleet of bulldozers and trucks to remove it.[3]
Most of OTL Idaho is part of the North American Unionprovince of Oregon, along with all of OTL Oregon, Washington, a small chunk of northwestern Nevada, and northwestern Montana. However, Disraeli controls the southeastern portion of the state along with OTL Utah, eastern Nevada, and western Colorado.[5]
