Hemond, from the Duchy of Namdalen, was the husband to Helvis and father to Malric. A mercenary serving as a member of the Videssian Avtokrator's household guard, he became friends with fellow mercenary Marcus Scaurus from the distant land of the Ronams. Hemond was killed by Yezd priest Avshar while trying to apprehend him. Scaurus himself took his fallen friend's equipment to Helvis.
