Heinrich Drucker (b. 1947) was the first child of Johannes and Käthe Drucker. He was named for Heinrich Jäger, his father's tank commander in the Race Invasion of Tosev 3. As the son of a high-ranking officer in Germany's Reich Rocket Force, Heinrich enjoyed many advantages in his youth. Although his mother was briefly imprisoned in 1962 on suspicion of having Jewish blood, Heinrich and his siblings were one generation removed from the taint, and thus not in jeopardy under the race laws of the Reich. During this period, Heinrich romanced a girl named Ilse.

During the Race-German War of 1965, Johannes was piloting in space and was captured by the Race. The rest of the Druckers evacuated their Greifswald home and headed to Neu Strelitz, home of Käthe's Uncle Lothar. Heinrich at some point joined a band of irregulars. After the main theater of the war had officially ended, the leader of the irregulars reported that they had captured a man suspected of collaborating with the Race. Heinrich saw that the man was his own father, who had been released from POW status and was searching for the family with help from Race authorities. Heinrich spoke up for his father, a loyal soldier of the Reich, and saved his life.

The family subsequently settled in Flensburg, the new capital of the Reich, when Johannes was promoted to a General in what was left of Germany's forces.

Literary comment[]

In Homeward Bound, it is stated that one of Johannes' sons ranked highly in the German military after it was rebuilt from the ground up. The text neglects to make clear whether this refers to Heinrich or his younger brother Adolf.
