Harrisburg is the capital of the State of Pennsylvania in the United States. It is located on the Susquehanna River, and is the seat of Dauphin County. It was founded in 1791 by members of the Harris family, and became the state capital in 1812. It is home to many important industrial ventures.

Mike Sullivan wondered why Pennsylvania located its capital in Harrisburg, when Philadelphia or Pittsburgh were much larger and more notable cities[1].
