Gyula Nagy was a reporter who traveled with the St. Louis Browns baseball team in September 1917, His son, Zoltan was a batboy. Gyula was with the team from September 3 in Boston, through a stand in New York City, and finally in Detroit.
On September 14, Zoltan, who was in fact a vampire, entered the room of the Browns' second baseman, Laszlo Kovacs and pitcher Rip. They killed Zoltan with a wooden stake. After Zoltan's disappearance, nobody, including Gyula, had any recollection of the boy.
