Greenwich Village, often referred to by locals as simply "the Village", is a neighborhood on the west side of Lower Manhattan, New York City. Greenwich Village has been known as an artists' haven, the Bohemian capital, the cradle of the modern LGBT movement, and the East Coast birthplace of both the Beat and '60s counterculture movements.
Greenwich Village in Broadway Revival[]
In the 2070s, David Greenbaum lived in Greenwich Village like a number of artists and actors.[1] When he traveled back to March, 1934, he again took up residence in Greenwich Village.[2]
Greenwich Village in Joe Steele[]
Greenwich Village tended to be further left than the mainstream Democratic Party. Norman Thomas, the Socialist Party candidate in the 1932 presidential election, was quite popular in the Village.
Mike Sullivan resided in Greenwich Village while he was a bachelor.[3]
