The Green Room was a meeting room within America's Number 10. Perversely, it was decorated in shades of blue to demonstrate to the mother country that she did not have a monopoly on eccentric institutions.

Colonel Thomas Bushell met Sir Martin Luther King and General Horace Bragg here to discuss his progress investigating the theft of The Two Georges. On hearing about its contradictory appointment, Bushell cynically commented that it was because politicians say one thing and do another but accepted the actually explanation with the caveat that Britain could undoubtedly figure out American eccentricities for themselves.
