Golobol was a Highhead physician. He was part of the tour group led by Radnal vez Krobir into the Trench Park in the Bottomlands of the Hereditary Tyranny of Tartesh.[1] While he relatively unobtrusive on the first two nights, on the third night, he was present when fellow tourist Dokhnor of Kellef was found dead. He found marks on him that suggested a "killing blow" on Dokhnor's neck, and pointed them out to Radnal vez Krobir. He dismissed the idea that Evillia, the Krepalgan woman who found Doknor, could be killer: Dokhnor had been dead for too long, and Evillia seemed too slight to inflict the injury.[2] His assessment was premature.
Golobol remained part of the tour, and proved to be quite cantankerous throughout.[3] A few nights after Dokhnor was found, Evillia and her fellow Krepalgan, Lofosa, smashed the radio, planted explosives in the Tarteshan helos, killed all but three of the donkeys, booby trapped the stable and the landing pad, and fled with their supplies towards the Barrier Mountains.[4] After they fled, the booby traps killed several government officials, including Liem vez Steries of the Trench Park Militia, and number of Eyes and Ears who arrived in a helo.
Like the rest of the group, Golobol was completely in the dark. Radnal vez Krobir, the guide, and Peggol vez Menk, a member of the Hereditary Tyrant's Eyes and Ears, finally explained that the two Krepalgan women were spies who'd come to blow open the Barrier Mountains and flood the Bottomlands. Vez Krobir told them to take all the water they could and head for higher ground, while he and the various government agents pursued the Krepalgan women. After they were outfitted, the groups lit out.[5] The tour group was found by the Tarteshan Eyes and Ears not much later.[6]
