Give Me Back My Legions! (originally announced as The Battle of Teutoburg Forest, St. Martins, April, 2009) is a historical fiction novel by Harry Turtledove.
It is a fictionalized account of the AD 9 Battle of the Teutoburg Forest between Germanic tribesmen and Roman Legions that established the Rhine River as the border between the Roman Empire and what would eventually become Germany.
The title of the book refers to what Emperor Augustus is alleged to have said after hearing of the Roman defeat at Teutoburg Forest.
