Giacomo Badoglio was a major in the Ministry of Information of the Grand Duchy of Italy. He acted as liaison for Agents Khalid al-Zarzisi and Dawud ibn Musa of the Republican Sultanate of the Maghrib when they came to help investigate Aquinist activity.[1] Badoglio was fluent in classical Arabic. A Christian, Badoglio was quite vocal about his hatred for the Aquinists.
