George Bagnall was a British Flight Lieutenant during World War II. At the beginning of the Race's invasion in 1942, Bagnall was serving in a Lancaster bomber. He was totally surprised by the killercraft's speed as they put down a bomber without anyone even noticing the craft during a bombing mission over Germany.
Bagnall spent time in the city of Pskov in the Soviet Union when his plane was destroyed while delivering information to them. He helped keep the peace between the Soviets and Germans who both laid claims to the city. He was able to return to Britain by the end of the conflict between the humans and the Lizards.
Bagnall emigrated to Canada in 1949 as he saw Germany and Britain growing closer together. He joined the RCAF and was transferred to the Defence Ministry Building in Ottawa. In 1964, he met David Goldfarb, who had served with him on a Lancaster as radio operator, while Goldfarb was being held in the capital. He was able to get David a meeting with Colonel Freddy McWilliams, which in turn freed his family and allowed them to settle in Canada.
