Fredugg was the cook's helper on the Queepahd. He was of the same Greenskin race as Ootag, and so young that he had no feathers on his arms. One day in the Southern Ocean, he spotted the Great Gray Mossy off the starboard bow. Captain Baja promised him a golden reward for sighting the mossy, but neither raptor lived long enough to complete the transaction. The mossy smashed the boats and capsized the ship, killing all of the crew except for Milvil.

Fredugg is based on Pip from Moby-Dick. The etymology of his name is uncertain.
