Franz Graf von Galen (11 December 1879 - 9 October 1961) was the brother of Clemens August von Galen.

Franz von Galen in The War That Came Early[]

Franz von Galen was the brother of Bishop Clemens von Galen, the Bishop of Münster, an ardent critic of the Nazis. In 1941, the Gestapo arrested Bishop von Galen. German citizens suspected that while the bishop would not be executed right away, Franz von Galen might be used against him in some way.[1]
