Fort Ironclaw was a greenskin fort in the middle of the Badlands. It was affectionately referred to as the "Gateway to the Black Hills". The soldiers stationed at Fort Ironclaw were typically being punished for some failure. In the opinion of the scout Rekek, it was a "sh-thole plumb in the middle of nowhere." A the time of the Ontinil expedition, Captain Jawj commanded the fort.[1]
Rekek and Junior traveled to Fort Ironclaw to find work. Jawj arranged for them to guide the Ontinil expedition into the Black Hills.[2]
