Fort Cushion was a fort in Franklin Province defended by the southrons when the Province seceded along with others to form "King" Geoffrey's realm. The garrison was made up of quite a few blonds.

During the notorious attack of the Fort, the forces under Ned of the Forest committed a major massacre of the blonds, who some said, had already surrendered. Ned became infamous throughout Detina for this crime, and gained a demon-like status in the blond community.
