Foriana was an elf-witch. Lingol consulted her when his unexplained curse that had given him excruciatingly painful skin blisters. Foriana's wellness spells had no effect on Lingol's woe, nor those of the numerous others in the community afflicted with the same misfortune. They briefly considered that the curse might have come in through the Door from the human world, but dismissed this notion as foolish. Then they made love as a comforting therapy, figuring it could do no harm.[1]
More than five years later, Foriana and Lingol met again at the Leavetaking ceremony where Lingol's friend Belionora chose to end her life on the Green Mountain cliffs. By this time, Foriana was suffering from the same curse. Foriana, skeletally thin, was again present some time later at Lingol's own Leavetaking.[2]
