Fat Albert's was a restaurant in Yreka, Jefferson, located round the corner from the governor's residence. Owned by a Greek immigrant named Albert, Fat Albert's sold fancy burgers and salads, as well as some Greek dishes like spanakopita and keftedakia and dolmades.

In February 1981, Governor Bill Williamson and former hostage Mark Gordon met for lunch at Fat Albert's to allow Gordon an opportunity to vent about life back in the U.S.. Albert comped their lunch, and jokingly indicated he'd fight them over the issue, even though he was a little person, and Williamson and Gordon were both sasquatches.[1]
