Eric Iverson (also Eric G. Iverson, Erik Iverson) was a nom de plume used by Harry Turtledove when he published his first novels, Wereblood and Werenight. His editor at Belmont-Tower suggested using a pseudonym that sounded more "Nordic." Turtledove adopted the name and used it for various short stories until early 1984, partly for marketing reasons, and partly to make a distinction between his fiction and non-fiction writing careers.
