Eoforwic was the capital of Forthweg. At the beginning of the Derlavaian War, Forthweg was partitioned between Unkerlant and Algarve, with Eoforwic falling into the Algarvian zone. Eoforwic had a large Kaunian population, which soon became subject to the Algarvians' horrifying practice of rounding up members of this group for "Special Magecraft".

The fictional city's story arc parallels the experience of Warsaw, Poland during World War II.
