Donald (b. 1963) was a male of the Race. When the Colonization Fleet first arrived on Earth, the United States government bought two fertilized Lizard eggs from a ginger-addicted female who had become gravid with them. President Earl Warren personaly presented and entrusted the eggs to Sam Yeager. Once the eggs hatched, Yeager's assignment was to raise the hatchlings as humans. Yeager and his wife Barbara named the two Mickey and Donald. They cared for them until Barbara's death and Sam's entrance into cold sleep in 1977, at which point Yeager turned care of the two young Lizards over to his son Jonathan. Jonathan in turn left Mickey and Donald in the care of his own son, Bruce, when he went into cold sleep in 1994.
On returning from Home in 2031, the Yeagers found that Donald had become the host of the game show You'd Better Believe It and suffered from a profound identity crisis (for which he blamed in part his adoptive parents) that raised serious questions about the ethics of the experiment in which he unwillingly took part.
