Dayton in Southern Victory[]
After the United States drove Confederate forces back out of Ohio in 1943, Dayton became home of the largest Army Air Corps training center in the country, and probably the world. Lt. Col. Jonathan Moss was stationed there in 1944 after he made it back behind U.S. lines, and learned how to fly turboes there.[1]
