Concerning the Development of Natural Creatures Through Time was the 13th-century AH treatise in which Abdallah ibn-al-Zubayr first explained the evolutionary theory. At its first printing, the treatise incensed theologians of the Jewish, Christian, and Islamic stripes. By the 15th century AH, the Catholic Church still officially condemned the book, but did not actively pursue this policy. In fact, Pope Marcellus IX kept a copy in his office on display for any visitors to see.[1]
