Charles Galtier (b. 1898) was the elder son of Lucien and Marie Galtier. In keeping with Quebecois law and tradition, he inherited the Galtiers' family farm outside of Riviere-du-Loup, Quebec, after his parents passed away. Charles was far more staid than his brother, Georges.
